Dear Santa, I can explain. It is for anyone who has been mostly good and would like that noted, preferably before the list is checked. Every entry has a reasonable story behind it.

The design is drawn as a crumpled letter. It opens “Dear Santa,” beside a small framed Santa portrait, then “I’ve been mostly good…”. A naughty list of box-ticked lines follows, every one blacked out except the one that reads “I can explain.” It is signed “Santa” with a kiss, and a sprig of holly sits in the corner.

Wear it on Christmas Eve, or give it to someone who lives on the naughty list.
